The mobile app primarily wraps the official website inside a secure WebView to deliver these services.

3. Camera & Media Access (Required for App Functionality)

Why we request camera and media permissions: The app allows students and teachers to upload files to the college portal. When a user chooses to upload, the app may request access to the device camera or media library to enable the following features:

• Upload profile photos for student/teacher accounts.
• Capture and upload photos of assignments, lab work, or paper forms.
• Upload PDFs, scanned documents, ID proofs, and other academic files.
• Scan QR codes for attendance or LMS features (if enabled).

Important privacy guarantees:

• Media access is user-initiated only — we only access files the user explicitly selects or captures at upload time.
• The app does not scan or index the user’s entire gallery.
• The app does not record audio/video in the background or without clear user action.
• Uploaded files are transmitted to the college web server (https://berhamporegirlscollege.com) and handled according to institutional policies.
